National Tour
The GFC National Tour
We kicked off our nationwide expansion in fall 2008 with the GFC National Tour presented by The Sephora Project.
The tour empowered thousands of girls across the country and launch a new Girls For A Change site in Richmond, VA. This year we will both double the number of GFC community sites and the number of girls we reach.
Our four-week tour started in the San Francisco Bay Area and ended in New York City—stopping at more than 25 schools and organizations along the way! The tour is the catalyst to launch 100 new Girl Action Teams nationwide. Click here to learn more about the tour, which includes Change Your World Trainings in five cities, Girl Action Zones in 10 cities along the way, and our powerful new Change Your World Action Kit and Training that will be free to girls nationwide.
GFC Action Network
Also launching this fall is the new GFC Action Network. Thousands of girls and women who participate in the National Tour will stay connected—and thousands will more will join them online—to create and share their GFC social change projects and resources. On the GFC Action Network, existing and new Girl Action Teams can work together to complete their projects and 1,000s more can download the Change Your World Action Kit to create change in their own way and join this revolutionary movement.
