PHX: Spring Into Action - Jan. 31, 2009

GFC Phoenix's 3rd annual Spring Into Action was held on Jan. 31, 2009 at Phoenix College.

This dynamic and energizing day for Girl Action Teams includes guest speakers, performers and workshops for girls and GFC Coaches. 

Girls take workshops on skills they need for creating social change including networking, budgeting, organizing and working with elected officials. Teams also have time to work on their project plan as they are preparing to implement a social change project in their community.

The FREE event includes a light morning snack and lunch. Girls also receive goodie bags!

PERFORMERS: ASU Hip Hop Coalition
The ASU Hip Hop coalition is a student organization that promotes the positive aspects of Hip-Hop culture and dance.  The Hip-Hop Coalition strives to provide a safe learning environment for each individual regardless of race, culture, gender, sexuality, body shape, religion or any other difference that may divide us as humans. Members we have opportunities to showcase their dance skills while highlighting important social issues within our community and world. The HHC experience combines teamwork, holistic wellness and the positive spirit of dance to nurture individual creativity, and ultimately, the acceptance of self and others. The ASU Hip Hop Coalition uses their talent and love for dance to inspire and energize.
